Our client, TUX Auto, is a unique company specialising in automotive personalisation and modifying. They hold a range of aftermarket wheels – including their own TUX Auto brand range that’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before – and are exceptionally adept in body styling and interior conversions.
Their objective is simple; to become the personnaliser, modifier and supplier of choice for discerning automotive enthusiasts. Equally, to be able to suit your every taste whether it’s understated elegance or something more noticeable. You’ll be able to choose from a range of brands such as TUX Auto itself, Riviera, Stuttgart Klutch, and Concept One Wheels.

Not to mention that they’re the sole UK distributor of the ferocious Armytrix exhausts.
They initially approached us for a rebrand, to evaluate and define a new brand strategy. In addition to this we were commissioned to launch a new responsive website that targeted the individual sub-brands that we had defined in the previous process. Since then, we’ve made great progress to push the brand to the level it deserves to be, continuing to refine the communication strategy with the listening mechanisms we have put in place.
User experience improved
The latest implementation we’ve made to their mobile site is to add a ‘hamburger menu’. Though not as tasty as it sounds, however, it’s part of the increasingly growing flat design trend and simplistic icons trend that makes the mobile experience clean, crisp and uncluttered.
We chose this particular icon, opposed to a navigation menu, because we wanted a menu that wouldn’t distract users from engaging with the content of the site. It was placed on the top right corner to make it easy to reach with the right thumb. However, it still gives them the freedom to go back to other pages when they choose to, defining their own experience.
A hamburger menu is more than a design trend; it’s an intuitive user interface technique. The perfect minimalist icon that saves screen space along with its’ ability to increase conversions by minimising unnecessary navigation and clutter on mobile devices.

It’s an easily recognisable function for users and its simplicity makes it the ideal choice for the TUX Auto brand and sub-brands of Riviera, Stuttgart and Armytrix.
There’s only so much we can say, so why don’t you just take a look and see for yourself at www.tuxauto.com.
